Clement D Cruz had been appointed as Executive Chef for Hyatt Regency Kolkata in April 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the entire F&B production operation. Having spent almost 6 years with Hyatt Regency Kolkata he has become the epitome of one of the company’s core values “Creativity”.  A progressive culinary professional with over 25+ years of experience in establishments that include world-class resort and several prestigious hotels, upscale restaurants.

Having unique blend of creative flair and passion for food, strong business sense and engaging interpersonal skills. Holding a strong record of streamlining operations and improving service while preserving highest levels of quality menu engineering and food styling being his prime forte; He is passionate towards blending the contemporary eating habits with the authenticity of traditional flavours. His culinary skills and immense knowledge of global cuisines has won him several accolades.

He was nominated for the Chef of the Year by J.C Maclair Hotelier Middle East Caterer in 2005 and 2006. He was the Five Star Employee award of the Quarter 2000. During his Ritz-Carlton days, he was recognized with a first class card from Corporate Chef after a special appreciation by a guest. He won the bronze medal in the Hotel Asia Competition Maldives 2011.

This maverick chef who has worked in India, U.A.E and Maldives; has cooked and served celebrities like, Brazilian football coach Zico, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Bollywood personalities like Shah Rukh Khan,Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmila Tagore, Anupam Kher, Asha Bhosle, Nimrit Kaur and Bengali film stars.
